This project was done in prisma colored pencils in order to represent a painting style. We were to mimic the picture and style and try and change something about it while keeping similar ideas or themes in our picture. My project was the top one and it mimicked the bottom one, using the bowl of fruit, the deformed arms/hands, and the faceless head. I made an insect made up of fruits holding a faceless decapitated head. The background is in a forest of flowers which are hands with eyes on them and the background was made in order to make the picture stand out. I liked this project a lot and learned how to shade very well using colored pencils.
Watercolor project based on mimicking a japanese woodblock painting and adding something to modernize it. I added a road on the bottom, a truck and fisherman in the top right, and small buildings in the background. I had difficulty blending some of the colors, especially for the waves. The project still looks plain and I probably should've added something bigger to emphasize the modern change. Perhaps something in the water like a modern cruise ship or battleship would've put more emphasis on the modernization.
This is my mixed media portrait project using pencil, ink, and colored pencil. The portrait in the bottom right is all colored pencil, the sunset, city at night, and the blue sky are in colored pencil, and the picture frames and cherry blossom are inked using stippling and hatching/cross-hatching.
